Emulator for petrol level indicator enables proper functioning of the engine even on vehicles equipped with a programme for calculating petrol consumption. During throttle operation, Emulator for Fuel Gauge prevents the MIL indicator from lighting up and the pretended error storage in the fuel control unit, even if there is a decrease on the fuel gauge. At each start, the device sets the real value of the fuel level indicator.
