Applications
The pressure-sensitive adhesive tape is preferably used for the bandaging of cable harnesses in the automotive industry. The specially designed, smooth-ground strip surface provides a stain-resistant and permanently flexible cable strand that is very well protected against external mechanical stresses (e.g., sharp edges) compared to many other strip materials (e.g., PVC, cellulosic, PET stitchbonded fabrics, etc.). Due to the high temperature resistance, the extremely robust carrier material and the excellent media resistance, this fabric tape can also be used in the engine compartment.
