It is an effective threadlocker that cures in the joint between two metal surfaces, without air access. After curing, it secures threaded joints and seals them at the same time. Although the locking device is durable after curing and prevents the joint from cracking, loosening or seepage, it can then be dismantled relatively easily using hand tools, for example during regular inspections. Due to its composition, it is intended for less active surfaces, for stainless steel or plated surfaces.
A great advantage is the thixotropic nature, which after applying the Loctite 243 locking agent prevents it from running off from the place of application. The thermal resistance of the fuse is up to 180 °C.
