Alugas TRAVELMate 2.0 gas refillable gas bottle with electronic fill level measurement!
This refillable gas bottle can be refilled at gas filling stations throughout Europe. The 80% fill stop valve automatically stops the refuelling process as soon as the cylinder has reached approx. 21.5 litres (11 kg). A fill level indicator on the bottle informs you of the current fill level. Refuelling is possible at any time!
In addition, an electronic fill level indicator attached to the wall informs you of the current fill level. The special feature is that - unlike the previous model - the level is also measured electronically and therefore over the full height of the bottle. A remote display (via app) can also be retrofitted on request.
Thanks to its low weight of just 6.7 kg, the bottle is easy to handle and can be used in a variety of ways, e.g. for barbecuing, heating or cooking. The bottle collar can be removed using two screws.
The refillable gas cylinder is supplied with an installation set and all adapters commonly used in Europe, as well as a high-quality stainless steel wall bracket. Please refer to the respective offer description for the exact scope of delivery.

ATTENTION!
The already announced and expected Alugas quick coupling is expected to be available from spring 2025. According to current information, there will be no grandfathering for systems already installed, making it necessary to retrofit the quick coupling to the refillable gas cylinder.
Important!
CE conformity and G607 are only achieved with the original ALUGAS quick coupling. The use of other components/quick couplings invalidates the manufacturer's approval and warranty.
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
What do I need to consider before refuelling for the first time?
The refillable gas cylinders are tested for leaks at the factory using air pressure. The test pressure is then released. Therefore, the Withdrawal valve (handwheel) should be opened before refuelling to release residual pressure and then closed again. However, a small amount of residual air remains in the refillable gas cylinder. When refuelling for the first time, this results in enormous coldness inside the tank. In exceptional cases, the float of the filler stop valve may ice up and not close in time. Therefore, never fill the tank with more than 21.5 litres of fuel. Even with a two-bottle system, never fill up with more than specified. During the refuelling process, observe the drive of the dispenser and stop it manually if necessary.
Is a declaration of conformity supplied by ALUGAS?
You can download the declaration of conformity at any time online at https://alugas-service.de/ after entering the serial number of your cylinder. You can find the latest version of the operating & installation instructions in our download area.
What happens after 10 years?
After 10 years, the cylinder must be checked again or replaced.
Are there any cylinders that do not need to be tested after 10 years?
Only cylinders with 67R-01 approval (tanks) do not have to undergo a 10-year test unless the manufacturer specifies this. For example, the black CAMPKO steel cylinder in our range.
Can the bottle lie flat?
The cylinder must be mounted vertically to ensure that the 80% filling stop and gaseous extraction function.
How must the cylinder be mounted?
According to G607, the cylinder must always be mounted securely. However, care must be taken during installation to ensure that the cylinder can be removed without tools. To do this, use the so-called star grip screws on the holder and a quick-release coupling (available from spring 2025) on the filling hose. We recommend discussing your plans in advance with a G607 expert or the relevant testing organisation (TÜV/DEKRA/GTÜ/KÜS etc.).
Do I need an approval?
No, an Alugas TRAVELMate refillable gas bottle no longer needs to be approved once it has been professionally installed. However, the installation is checked as part of a gas test (G607).
Where can I have the cylinder fitted?
The cylinders should be installed by a specialised company. On request, we can organise an installation company in your area. Simply contact us using the contact form and let us know your postcode.
Which gas can be refuelled?
The so-called bottled gas from conventional exchange cylinders is basically no different from LPG, which you refuel yourself. Both gases are a mixture of propane and butane. Autogas (LPG) is also called GLP or GPL abroad.
Please note that the above information relates exclusively to the German G607 regulation and reflects the current state of information. We have not been able to take into account the guidelines of other testing organisations or countries. In any case, please contact your responsible testing organisation.

Set consisting of an 11 kg aluminium gas cylinder and the Europe adapter set for gas supply abroad!
The aluminium gas cylinders from Alugas are ideal for all camping, barbecue and barbecue fans. They are significantly lighter than conventional steel cylinders and are therefore easier on the body and back to handle. In addition, the cylinder does not rust, which means that no rust particles can clog the LPG conversion kit.
They also have a high vaporisation capacity , even at low temperatures, which means you can enjoy barbecuing all year round.
Scope of delivery :
1x 11 kg gas cylinder (ALU/without filling) with valve and protective cap
1x Europe adapter for reliable supply abroad (either for filling at the gas dealer or for connecting the foreign pressure regulator)
The 11 kg aluminium gas cylinder has a diameter of 30 cm and a height to the top edge of the valve of 57.5 cm. An empty cylinder weighs about 5 kg, the weight of a full cylinder is about 17 kg.
Where can you buy and exchange aluminium gas cylinders?
Aluminium gas cylinders can be exchanged at numerous suppliers. You can find a list of Europe-wide filling and exchange stations at
https://umkreissuche.alugas.de/
Aluminium gas cylinders compared to steel cylinders
Compared to conventional steel cylinders, aluminium gas cylinders are significantly lighter. An 11 kg aluminium gas cylinder, for example, weighs up to 50 percent less than a comparable steel cylinder. This makes them an ideal choice for applications where mobility and flexibility are required.
What is the gross weight, filling weight and tare weight?
To understand the different weight indications on a gas cylinder, it is important to know the terms gross weight, fill weight and tare weight.
- Gross weight: This is the total weight of the cylinder including the contents. It is made up of the net weight (tare) of the cylinder and the filling weight of the contents.
- Filling weight: The filling weight is the weight of the contents of the cylinder, for example propane or butane gas.
- Tare weight: The term "tare" means "deduction". It is used when substances that cannot be weighed without an aid, such as gases or liquids, are weighed in a container. The tare weight (net weight) is therefore the difference between the gross weight and the filling weight.
