Solar charge controller
A solar charger harvests the energy from your solar panels and stores it in your batteries. Using the latest and fastest technology, SmartSolar maximises this energy harvesting and intelligently controls it to achieve a full charge in the shortest possible time. SmartSolar maintains the health of the battery and extends its life.
The SmartSolar charge controller can even recharge a heavily discharged battery. It can operate with a battery voltage of up to 0 volts, provided the cells are not permanently sulphated or otherwise damaged.
MPPT: Ultra Fast Maximum Power Point Tracking
By constantly monitoring the voltage and current output of your solar panels (PV), MPPT technology ensures that every drop of available energy is extracted from your panels and harvested for storage.
Remote monitoring and control
Control and monitor the extensive functions of your SmartSolar MPPT charger with integrated Bluetooth remotely by pairing it with your smartphone or other device via VictronConnect. If your installation is connected to the internet, you can access the full power of your MPPT anytime, anywhere via the Victron Remote Management Portal (VRM); both services are free of charge. For remote installations - even if there is no internet connection or phone signal nearby - you can monitor your MPPT via Bluetooth pairing with an optional LoRaWAN (long-range wide area network) device.
Load output
The intelligent load output function prevents damage caused by "dead" batteries. batteries. You can set the voltage at which SmartSolar switches off a charge and thus prevents excessive discharging of the batteries. And here's the trick: SmartSolar tries to charge the batteries to 100% every day. If this is not possible - in bad weather, for example - it increases the cut-off voltage every day until it is successful. We call this function BatteryLife because it maintains the health of your battery and extends its life.
