The quick coupling has been specially developed for safe and efficient use on so-called refillable gas bottles and fulfils the requirements of G 607, offering a robust solution with innovative safety features:
Quick disconnection of the tank line in an emergency: in an emergency, the line can be disconnected quickly and safely to prevent uncontrolled gas leaks.
Prevention of refuelling when the line is disconnected: An integrated non-return valve ensures that gas can only flow when the line is correctly connected.
The ALUGAS quick coupling must be installed in future for new installations and for existing systems as part of the G 607 gas test.
Installation:
The quick coupling must be fitted directly to the multivalve of the TRAVELMate refillable gas cylinder, between the inlet nozzle and the LPG filling hose.

Safety instructions and warnings
General safety instructions
Only to be used by trained specialists:
Work on gas pipes or couplings may only be carried out by qualified specialists.
Check before use:
Check the quick coupling for damage, wear or dirt before connecting it. A defective coupling must not be used.
-
Avoid improper use:
- Only use the coupling for the intended refillable gas bottles and filling hoses.
- Tampering with or modifying the coupling is strictly prohibited.
Ensure tightness:
Carry out a leak test after each installation or use to prevent gas leaks.
Specific warnings
1. mechanical risks:
-
Warning: Ensure that the coupling is fully engaged before filling the tank. An incorrectly fastened line can come loose during operation and lead to gas leaks.
-
Note: In the event of unusually high mechanical resistance, the coupling must not be closed or opened by force.
2. thermal risks:
-
Warning: The clutch must not be operated above the specified temperature range (-20 °C to +60 °C), as this could impair the function and weaken the material.
3. malfunction of the non-return valve:
-
Warning: Check the function of the non-return valve regularly. If the valve does not close properly, there is a risk of a gas leak when it is released.
-
Note: If the non-return valve is defective, the quick coupling must be replaced immediately.
4. unintentional loosening of the pipe:
-
Warning: Always use the safety clip to prevent unintentional disconnection of the pipe.
-
Note: Check the function of the safety clip regularly and replace it if it is damaged.
Maintenance and inspection instructions
Regular inspections:
Check the quick coupling at least every 6 months for visible damage, material fatigue and the functionality of all moving parts.
-
Check seals:
- Replace seals if they are brittle, damaged or worn.
- Only use spare parts recommended by the manufacturer.
-
Function tests:
- Regularly test the quick release device and the non-return valve to ensure that both are functioning correctly.
-
Cleaning:
- Only clean the clutch with mild cleaning agents. Do not use aggressive chemicals as these can damage the material.
Emergency measures in the event of malfunctions
Exclusion of liability:
Failure to observe these safety instructions may result in serious injury, property damage or environmental damage. The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use or lack of maintenance.
