Loctite 542 thread sealant is a universal sealant primarily for metal and plastic pipes and fittings. The bulk pack is more suitable for industrial installations, but can also be used by any DIY enthusiast.
It is a liquid sealant that hardens after application. Its great advantage is its thixotropic property, thanks to which the liquid sealant remains where it was applied after application and does not flow. After curing, it is ready for the maximum load. After curing, Loctite 542 is a very strong and durable seal, so it can also be used for SP hydraulics. At the same time, it can withstand temperatures of up to 150 °C.
